A 2019 Update
Posted on January 1, 2019
I figured it was about time for me to post an update.
tl;dr: I've closed down my Etsy store, but the NGNL playing cards are still available here available for download here! Feel free to do whatever you want with them, which includes getting them printed.
I was originally planning on reopening the store after summer 2018 ended, just like I had for the two previous summers, but decided not to for two reasons:
- Etsy increased their fees, and I didn't want to increase the deck cost any more. $17.50 for a set of novelty playing cards is already a lot, but the new fees could still cause me to go in the red.
- I had a incredibly busy semester ahead of me (took 6 classes, one of which was the infamous 6.172), and I didn't have time to respond to customer inquiries.
MakePlayingCards.com rolled out a new marketplace feature recently that allows users to start selling their own designs on their website, and I realized that this marketplace solved both my problems. I would be free from Etsy's fees and also not have to act as customer support. So, here we are, and the cards are being sold at a marginally cheaper price (like, 30 cents) here.
2021 update: I don't really want to keep the shop open anymore, so I'm making the full resolution cards available to the public here. Again, feel free to get them printed yourself.
